They had some chart success back in the day with I’m ready. believe it or not but 15 years
later their rapper MCM is about to drop a album called THE GOSPEL. details below was fan

§ MCM (Caveman) were the first hip-hop group based in the UK to get a US record
deal (Profile Records 1990).

§ The Gospel will be the 3rd MCM Album after 15 years, the first two being ‘Positive Reaction’
and ‘The Whole Nine Yards and Then Some’ both released on Profile Records as the group Caveman.
Positive Reaction was voted one of the Top Ten Best UK Hip-Hop albums ever

It is well-known in the UK Hip Hop community that MCM is one of the pioneers of UK Rap.
Formally the front man of legendary hip-hop group Caveman MCM returns with the best
material of his career. THE GOSPEL is the journey between 1994-2011 covering all the
unreleased tracks and new material that were due to be release on the third Caveman
album as well as his own solo MCM projects. Some would call it a compilation – we say NO!
The Gospel has always been known as the 3rd Album.

From 2010, MCM now working with the indie label I-innovate (UK) has recorded 15 new
2010-2011 cuts to make this release a 25 track authentic hip hop joint – A Double Album.
We call THE GOSPEL an experimental album because all of the studio equipment from
recording to mastering is the same equipment used by CAVEMAN in the Golden Age on
Positive Reaction. MCM always planned to maintain that golden age flavour using
THE GOSPEL as a reminder for true hip hop listeners – Authenticity in hip-hop never
really left. All you have to do is LET IT LIVE!
