The psychedelic hip-hop sounds of SJ Beats’ newest independent drop, Wavy letter S, has the Queen City of the Sound buzzing. It’s “the perfect medium between lyrical rap and soulful music.” says former XXL writer Jonny Alvarez.

Since 2007, the young producer/rapper has been honing his skills, dropping two previous self-produced mix-tapes The Surrealist and Young Essuh. After his music quickly grabbed the attention of IONA College students, becoming a soundtrack to the party scene, SJ soon began performing in venues throughout NYC. With his third mix-tape, Wavy Letter S, Essuh holds nothing back. The professional production value and raw collaborations with other rap prospects like Desert Storm’s J-EA are sonically appealing to any hip-hop fan.
