Default interesting
Nas & Andre 3000 are good artist to study however, I don't hear that in his craft, I mean, its like kobe & jordan, I can watch him play and say YUP! i see the pattern, but when i hear drake i just say...oh ok that's cool...nothing for me to rewind and listen to again.

I agree with Caudier... the standards have been lowered so much in Hip Hop this generation, that not even the so called "best" artists today can be compared to the greatest... hip hop today is just on a whole different level than from what it used to be, point blank. For instance, I dont see Drake's lyrics as the type where future artists will quote from like how artists used to quote from Jay or Biggie or Pac, etc.

I guess I can give Drake a chance... but he just doesn't have any type of story behind him... he just popped up out of nowherelike all the other new artists, except he just happened to be better than all the other BS ... it's hard for me to follow something when I dont know the beginning of it... for instance, it's like watching a movie from the middle, and not seeing the beginning, you just dont know what it's about.... same with Drake, I dont know where he came from, he hasn't stirred up any interest from his music about where he has came from.... there is just no reason for thought behind his existence in the game.

I definately agree with this, an artist with no beginning has no insight, to me REAL Hip Hop is currently dead, (remember i said "REAL") Club Hip Hop is definately alive but thats what Drake is doing. Dont get me wrong hes a really cool dude i met him one time at the Galleria here in Houston, down to earth real nice but all that "gangsta" mess that him and wayne spit is not what their about, if i use strong lyrics is because is something i lived not cuz i want to appeal to the ppl tryin to hear Gangsta shit lol.
